Overnight Guided Fishing
Trips
If you are looking for
the ultimate guided fishing trip on a wild and scenic Alaskan River,
look no further. We give you two full days floating from Sourdough
to our RV Park. The trip includes overnight camping along the
banks of the Gulkana River and your meals during the trip. We
include either a 4 night stay in one of our river front RV spaces or 3 nights stay
in both of our cabins. Our overnight trip is for a minimum of 4
people, $600 per person. We will provide ice chests with ice and water. You
are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. The meals will
include
a continental breakfast each morning, sandwiches for lunch and a b.b.q.
dinner cooked by the guide when you camp for the night. We will
supply the tent for overnight but you will need to bring your own
sleeping bags. You should also bring waders and we also recommend
a dry bag. Please pack lightly due to limited space on the raft.

BLM Alaska: Gukana Wild and Scenic River
Our overnight trips start
the day before when you check into our private fishing club. You
will either be staying in one of our river front RV spaces or both or
our cabins. You will have plenty of time your first day to do some
bank fishing from our park. Your float trip starts early the next
morning with a trip to Sourdough where we enter the Gulkana River. We have on-site security and
limited access to our park so your belongings will be safe while on your
trip. The guide will make periodic stops for nature
calls and to allow you to stretch your legs. There will also be a
stop for lunch around mid-day. We provide your meals during the
trip including either a
steak or fish dinner prepared by your guide on the banks of the Gulkana
River.

Your fishing trip will give you plenty
opportunities to catch King Salmon, as well as Sockeye, grayling,
rainbow trout, and steelhead.
The
abundance wild life along the Gulkana makes every bend in the river an
opportunity to experience nature. Wild life along the river include
moose, eagles, caribou,
beaver, bear, and a variety of birds. The Gulkana
River is prime nesting habitat for the bald eagle and you will see
several nests along the trip. It is common to see several dozen bald
eagles, both overhead and perched along the river.

Our King Salmon fishing trips gives you two
days floating down a wild and scenic Alaskan river. We use only
experienced Gulkana River guides who know the river. If you stay
in one of our RV spaces, you will have a full day of bank fishing.
If you prefer the comfort and security of our cabins, you will still
have plenty of time to bank fish on your first day, the evening when you
return from your trip, and your final morning.
When you add up all the extras, it hard to
beat our guided fishing trips. Call today to reserve your trip
early.

King
Salmon Guides
Our trips leave from the Gulkana River RV Park located
about 3 miles north of the Gakona junction at mile
marker 132 on the Richardson Hwy. The RV Park is
private and only the owners, permit holders and guests
are allowed in the Park. Our King Salmon guided
fishing trips include 2 nights stay in our Park in a
river front RV space.

The 2007 season was great for king salmon
on the Gulkana River. Many of our guests were able
to catch their limit from the private 750 foot shoreline
of our RV Park. Our guided fishing trips include
two night in a river front RV space in our park.

Sockeye
Salmon
After the King season ends on the 19th of July, we offer
Sockeye salmon guided fishing trips. The 2007
season saw a three fold increase in the number of
Sockeye salmon over the four year average for the
Gulkana River.

Our
RV Park
We are the owners of the
Gulkana River RV
Park located about 3 miles north of Gakona Junction at mile
132 on the Richardson Hwy. The RV Park is private and only
